@Prasad Do check out <a href="http://www.shoutmeloud.com/sendy-review-save-1000-email-marketing.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Sendy</a>. It's way cheaper than Aweber other alternatives.

AWeber and other autoresponders give their pricing in terms of number of subscribers. If one takes a package for say 500 subscribers and more come in, for example 5000, will Aweber cut off those from 501 to 5000 or will they simply bill one more for the higher number?

Thanks for your responses.

In it’s day aweber was a great tool – but it’s 2015 and CRM’s have evolved tremendously.

I am a recent new convert from aweber to Active Campaign. Functions and usability with Active Campaign are IMO a far better and flexible option. Segmenting rules, follow-up, autoresponder are all included and a few other really cool features. The benefits are awesome if you just look at teh money saved compared to Aweber.

The only way to describe the interface is ‘intuitive’,

cheers for sharing Sagar but had to holla about AC :o)

Indeed Aweber is great tool. But it’s pricing is high for a new blogger like me. Now I see Mailchimp as the better alternative to Aweber. I should try it.

Thanks for this very useful info!

Nice post Sagar.. Very comprehensive, up to date and well written. It is always nice to explore alternatives. You never know what surprises could be waiting for you. I have tried Mailchimp briefly.. But now with EasySendy Pro.. They are a platform which allows using various SMTP relay service providers so that I could ensure all of my subscriber lists way to reach the viewers. This also helped when I wanted reach country specific mailboxes. Few of their relay providers are Amazon SES, Sparkpost, Mailgun, Sendgrid etc. EasySendy Pro also lets me send targeted emails for a few niche sections in my industry, by micro segmenting my subscribers. And to ensure my emails are opened they allow Re-engagement to gently motivate my prospects to open and read my mails. They have free plans to start with to try out campaigns plus Test campaigns and email templates to check spam scores. Their least price starts with unbelievably just $19 a month with 10k subscribers to whom we can send 5 emails per second and 2 delivery servers to choose from. This is the same plan I started with EasySendy Pro. This should be the one next on your review checklist. Thanks, Nathan :-)

I really like GetResponse. They also have marketing automation, which is pretty cool.

Aweber is an expensive option if one requires basic autoresponder facility. These alternatives are worth testing.

I would recommend using SendPulse with free service. It provides more subscribers than MailChimp. You can send more free emails per month as well.
And it is the best: It is super easy to use with drag and drop fashion.

Mailchimp sucks a lot, because they simply suspend you due to using an automated algorithm to scan your emails….and then they don’t respond at all, and their auto email tells you that you are free to go elsewhere. They really do not care about you at all. And they hate affiliate marketing very much, and have very strict TOS, which leads to a lot of false positives from their stupid algo. Not that it matters, because they have zero support and they just don’t give a damn about you. Very bad experience with Mailchimp.
